Welcome to Philathea! I am thrilled that you have been directed to our webpage. We are always happy when God leads someone to our community.

Here at Philathea, we love Jesus. And more than anything else we wish to share that love with others. Philathea is a small community with a huge heart for compassion. We know that people need a break from all the contemptible and petty behavior which is so pervasive in our society. So, we always welcome those who desire to escape the vitriol that is in the world to come and enjoy the peace
and love of Christ with us.

Here we understand that no one is perfect. Well, neither are we. However, we know who is and He who wants to share the message that even though a person may have shortcomings, defects, or faults, that does not disqualify them from being loved. From our own experience, we have found that those who admit that they are flawed, are the very ones that Jesus is looking to love. He loves you as just you are. We know this because that is the way He loves us.

Come and enjoy heartfelt fellowship and friendship as we express kindness with those in need and study the word of God. That is what Philathea means “lovers of truth”. Therefore, we love to study the love of the Savior. Why? Because it is our desire to share the love of Jesus’ compassion, the truth of His word, and the hope of His soon return with everyone we meet.
